A study in 2006 published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition have shown that those 1,000 seniors who have been drinking green tea for a few cups a day on a daily basis had much better cognitive function that those seniors who only drank three cups of tea or less a week.

Another research found a link between the consumption of green tea leaves and the lower risk of all types of cancer such as stomach, breast, prostate, colon and skin.

However, do not forget your black and oolong tea. Clinical studies have shown that wu long tea and assam tea have strong antioxidants as well that can reduce the risk of heart disease as well as stroke by lowering your cholesterol level and oxidative damage to your blood vessels.
